Moving On Up

Today was the first day and I'm teaching second grade now. After explaining where to put finished work and what they could do after they finished, I was talking through it again. 

Me: So after I finish all of my work and put it away, where do I go?

Student: THIRD GRADE!!

At recess...

Student comes up panting and sits beside me...

Student: Man I'm burning down!
Me: What?
Student: I'm burning down! It's so hot!!
Me: Do you mean burning up.
Student: yeah.
